Common problems:
- The link in the URL-field points to a database that I cannot access
- How do I export a TvangsPub-reference to a database in a reference management program?
Normally the links in the URL-field point to references in ISI Web of Knowledge. Only users with an authorized IP-address have access to ISI Web of Knowledge. A condition is that you, or the institution you work for, subscribes to ISI Web of Knowledge. Additionally, you have to access the database from an authorized IP-address. This means that you have to visit the database's web pages, from a computer that is connected to the network that subscribes to ISI Web of Knowledge. Your computer has to be recognized and authenticated first. This means that in order to access the database you have to:
First visit ISI Web of Knowledge > If your IP-address is successfully recognized, you will be authenticated > Go back to TvangsPub > Go back to the reference you want to access in ISI Web of Knowledge > Click at the link provided in the URL-field > You will gain access to the reference in ISI Web of Knowledge
Note: This procedure will not work if your IP-address is not recognized. Your IP-address can only be recognized if it is part of a network that subscribes to ISI Web of Knowledge. This database can be licensed to institutions such as universities and other research centers.
Here is how you do this from TvangsPub:
Access the reference you want to export > Click on the field Export - XML > You will obtain an XML-file > Save the XML-file in a folder that is easy to find > Open the reference management software where you want to export the reference > Open or create a database in the reference management software > Select File - Import > Select - Import XML-file created in the reference management sofware> Find the XML-file you have just created and saved in your hard drive > Click on "Import" > The file will be imported to the database you created with the reference management program
